Fully Remanufactured Deutz F3L 2011 engine - 1800 RPM model.  This is a variable speed engine - it can be run from idle to 1800 RPM.  Please read entire description below for full description of remanufacturing process. 

The engine we started with had 1430 hours, started, and ran.  A sound engine is the best core to remanufacture.  

Crankshaft was like new with less than 0.001" runout - it did not require grinding and remains standard size on rods and mains.  New bearings on mains and rods.  Crank seal surfaces were also like new and without grooving.  

Block was bored 0.50mm (approximately .019") and honed on a Sunnen CK-10.  In preparation for assembly, the block and all internals are washed to remove foreign particles.  All lubricating system parts are included in this cleaning.  All galleys are brushed and washed before replacing galley plugs.

Pistons were individually fit to the bores and honed to Deutz required piston clearance.  Premium rings were used.  

Rods were checked for straight, balance, and roundness on big and small end.  The rods were in like new condition and did not need work - big ends were exact spec and did not require resizing.  

Cylinder head was blasted and checked for flat - it was flat and did not require any milling.  Intake and exhaust valves had margins well within spec and only received a fresh 45 degree cut.  Intake valve seats are stock but exhaust valve seats were replaced with hardened steel seats.  For heavy duty sustained use, the hardened seat gives you a strong long-term positive cylinder seal - the stock powdered metal exhaust seats erode and begin leaking compression.  

Fuel injectors are replaced with new blueprinted injectors that are each set at 3200psi.  Each injector is pop tested, shimmed, and leak down tested in-house before installation.  All new parts are used.

Injection pumps are individually tested and pumping within factory specification. 

Our engines are built for the long run.  What you will receive is a turn key engine.  No core fee, no missing parts, ready to run.  Your engine is what is shown including the engine mounts, bellhousings, flywheel, and starter (alternator is included and behind the fan but we did not test the alternator - with 1430 hours it should be operational).  In some pictures you see a belt guard and air cleaner - these are included but were removed so you can see the engine without obstruction.

We use 4 different engine assembly lubricants for different parts of the assembly - this is overkill but vital.  The timing belt and tensioner are factory parts and installed to correct tension.  The oil system is fully primed to show oil pressure before initial start up - no dry cranking while waiting for oil pressure.  The engine is broken in at varied rpm for 20 minutes.  The resultant engine has no blowby, starts and runs without smoke, and has instant throttle response.

The bellhousing is SAE 4 and the flywheel is drilled for 4 different patterns which include SAE 10 and 8 plus two triangular patterns.
